Kia ora anō

Tēnā koutou Mātua mā,

Just a quick notice about the upcoming hui we have as a Syndicate - Te Pihinga.

Parent Interviews - Goal Setting
This Wednesday there are Parent Interviews happening all day where by the teacher and parents/parent/caregiver are to sit and have a quick chat- no more than 20 minutes around Goal Setting for your tamaiti/tamariki.

Good News.......
We are all booked for Wednesday 1st Feb 2017, and thank you to all parents who have arranged a time and made themselves available to meet with me regarding some key/simple goals you have for you tamaiti/tamariki for this year 2017.

We have filled the 20 minute slots for Wednesday starting 9am through to 3pm.
However the list is full with only half of Year 3-4 parents of Te Pihinga.

So us kaiako will decide tomorrow if we will come in on Thursday the 2nd Feb to carry on doing the remainder Parent interviews, if so we will keep you posted on here or otherwise we will call you to confirm.

Stationery for 2017 - Year 3&4 Te Pihinga

Please call the office if you are needing a stationery list emailed, or better still please feel free to come in and pick one up!!

Colour Coding - We are colour coding our core subjects and curriculum in class!!!

So we have decided to colour code our core subjects which we hope will speak for itself when our tauira enter the akomanga.

This will show clear areas of learning but also make things a bit more visual and will show consistency throughout Te Pihinga.

So if your tamaiti has decided to cover their stationery, here is a what colour code each subject has this year.

Remember this isn't compulsory for stationery...however just a heads up for all Mātua!

TE AHO MATUA:

We are always acknowledging Te Aho Matua, as it is the guide and focus in our daily practices, values as teachers and students.

We as Te Pihinga have a big focus each term on Te Aho Matua and all it's principles, and there for our tamariki will be learning Te Aho Matua as a part of the Reo component in Te Pihinga each week.

This goes hand in hand with TWT Kura Uara, as well as new Kīwaha/whakataukī.

We appreciate your support!!
And look forward to seeing you all soon

Ngā manaakitanga,

Whāea Wairere Ropata
